We are Both Here Somewhere, We are on a Continuum, 2025
Sound. Duration: 14m 10s

This piece emerged from a series of sound experiments that incorporates excerpts from a cassette tape my father recorded just before my birth (rediscovered almost a decade after his death), cross-continental field recordings, Irish keening, and traditional Welsh song - including a song exhumed from a 1892 book entitled Bedd Fy Rhiaint (My Parent’s Grave), its existence seemingly rooted only in paper and in the ephemeral melody its notations offer.

I run my fingers over the ridges of your voice, etched precisely into a shimmering surface.
You are here, rendered permanent on a new tablet of hieroglyphs that pulls you out of the cosmic fugue and into a continuous present.

Here, you can still teach me things.
